Cleaning Fans

If your electric fans get a lot of use during the warm weather, you know that they can get dusty and dirty. Here is an easy way to clean them!

Unplug the fan and carefully remove the safety screens from the fan.

Wash the screens in warm soapy water. A soft brush or cotton swab will help you get into the small crevices. Then, lay the screens on a towel to dry.

When the loose clumps of dust are gone, you can use a slightly damp cloth that has been dipped in a solution of vinegar and water to wipe excess dirt off the blades! Be careful not to get any water into the fan's motor.
