Kitchen Tips

We all spend a lot of time in our kitchens, and who isn't looking for a quicker way to do something. Well I've got some tips that will make your time in the kitchen a little easier.

We've all seen those thick rubber bands on our fresh produce. Don't throw them away; they are the perfect tools for opening a stuck jar lid! Just stretch the band around the lid and twist. It makes a perfect grip.

If you need to measure something, like a baking dish and you don't have a ruler, just pull out a dollar bill; its about 6 inches long!

Now, we all know when you're doing the dishes make sure that you use rubber gloves to protect your hands from the hot water. If you just sprinkle some baby powder in them and shake before you put them on it will keep that rubber glove smell off of your hands and make the gloves easier to take off when you're done.

To scrub the hard to reach places try an old toothbrush or buy a bunch of inexpensive ones. They'll get into the little nooks and crannies that are hard to get at with a regular scrubber.
