Handy Helpers

Who doesn't love to find an easier way to do something? Here are some really handy tips for your projects.

To get a better grip on your wrench, slip a bicycle handle grip over it. This will cushion your hand and give you more control.

If you're having trouble seeing what you're doing while drilling, attach a tiny flashlight to the top of your drill. This will give you extra light wherever you aim the tool.

If you need a safety cover for a razor blade, try the bottom of an old matchbook. The blade fits easily inside, and as a bonus, you can sharpen it on the strike plate on the back of the matchbook!

If you need to fill some nail holes and find yourself out of putty, mix together some cornstarch and water to make a nice smooth paste. Use that paste to fill your nail holes. It will work just as well as the putty! You can also use some gritty toothpaste for a quick fill.
