If you use your tools as much as I do you know it's important to keep them in good repair. I have some easy maintenance tips to keep yours looking great!

If your saw has rust on the blade, it won't work like it should. Use some medium grade steel wool to buff all of the rust away.

Once the saw is rust free, use some lubricating spray or some non-stick vegetable oil spray to coat the blade. Then it won't be rusty the next time!

Get a sharpening stone for your workshop. It sharpens and hones your hand tools like chisels and planes as well as scissors and knife blades.

To sharpen, clamp your stone in a bench clamp to hold it in place. Always put the beveled or slanted edge against the stone, and pull carefully toward you at an angle. This will give you a nice, even edge.
