Bathroom Surface Renewal

Thinking of refinishing your bathroom but just don't have enough in the budget? Try an epoxy paint that will make all sorts of bathroom surfaces look like new.

First step, clean, clean, clean. Wash the surface well with a mild abrasive and some triple zero steel wool. Rinse it well and then scrub again with just some steel wool, and rinse that. Then repeat once more. Your final scrubbing shouldn't leave any residue on the steel wool, and allow the surface to dry.

Open a window for ventilation and put on a pair of latex gloves. Mix the two parts of the epoxy together, stir well and cover. Then let it sit for an hour.

When the time is up open the can and apply the paint to the surface in one direction rather than back and forth as you would with regular paint. The special formula in the mixture is self-leveling so you don't have to worry about brush marks.

Let the surface dry for at least 12 hours and then apply a second coat.
