Repairing Grout

Hurry and replace the grout in your shower when it cracks and falls out, or you could end up with some serious water damage.

Get rid of any loose grout by chipping it away with a pointy can opener. You can leave good strips of grout in place. Just clean away cracked and damaged areas.

Clean and dry the area thoroughly so there won't be any dirt or dust in the repair.

Apply the grout to the wall with a rubber grout float . Hold the float at a forty five degree angle and pull it diagonally across the tiles.

Wipe the tiles with a slightly damp sponge to remove excess grout. Allow the grout to dry.

When the grout has completely dried, wipe the tiles again to get rid of any build- up.
