Tiles

Ceramic tile may seem impossible to keep clean without using harsh chemicals, but here are some easy ways to keep your tile looking great.

Before you clean the tiles in your bathroom, run extremely hot water for a minute or two. The steam loosens the dirt and soap scum, making it easier to clean.

To get rid of soap scum on tiles (and your glass shower doors) heat some white vinegar in the microwave for a minute or two and use it to clean the tile. Vinegar breaks up the soap scum build-up making it easier to wipe away.

If you have stubborn spots, grab a pair of rubber gloves and make a paste of baking soda and bleach. Use it to scrub away the stains.

When the shower is clean, rub the wall tiles and door with lemon oil, or liquid car wax. This will give the tile a shiny finish, and cause the water to bead up and rinse clean after each use.

To keep your shower clean, wipe down the walls after each use. The fastest and easiest way to do this is to keep a squeegee in the shower and wipe the walls as soon as you're done.
