Silly putty isn't so silly when it is matted into your
carpeting. To remove it spray liberally with lubricating
oil, let it sit for a minute and then remove as much as
possible with a spoon. Then clean the area with warm soapy
water and white cloths to remove any traces of the oil and
putty. 
If your child ends up with gum in their hair saturate it
with some baby oil and comb out. 
I will never understand why stores put price tags on the
glass of picture frames rather than the backs. Anyway, to
remove them easily put a piece of tape over the tag run
your fingernail over it a few times and then peel the tape
and the price tag off with ease! If there is any leftover
sticker goo on the glass rub it off with a little
waterless hand cleaner! 
Tree sap and tar can be removed from your skin and floors
with some petroleum jelly, just spread it over the area,
let it sit for a few minutes and then simply wipe it away!
