Water Stained Ceiling

Okay, you've repaired the source of the problem, but now you're left with an ugly water stain. Well, it's nothing to worry about; we can 'fixit' in no time.

Cover. Put a drop cloth over the floor to protect it form drips and do the same for any furniture nearby

Clean. Make sure that the area is free of dust and dirt. A barely damp rag will easily do the trick. Let it dry.

Open a window for ventilation.

Coat. The trick to repairing stains is to seal them so that they don't bleed through the new paint job. Use an oil based sealer and a regular wall brush. A pouncing method will help you blend the repair work easily. With very little paint on your brush simple bounce the bristles up and down over the stain until it is completely covered.

Let the primer dry. Don't worry if you can see some of the stain through the primer, once it's sealed it won't bleed through the paint.
