Ceiling Fans

Ceiling fans are a nice addition to any house. They circulate the air and are a lot more economical to run than air conditioners or space heaters.

In the summer, ceiling fans pull the hot air up and away from your living space, which will keep your house cooler. During colder weather, use the reverse switch. Heat naturally rises, so, the hot air will be pushed back down by the fan to keep you warmer.

If your ceiling fan shakes and seems to be off balance, an easy way to fix it is to even out the weight. Turn it off, and tape a penny to the top side of one of the fan blades. Then turn the fan back on. The weight change will fix the balance. If not, move the penny until you find the blade that needs it.
