Window Washing

When your windows are dirty, your whole house can feel a little dull, don't hang up your "I don"t do windows" sign just yet! I have a great recipe for cleaning your windows so that you can let the sunshine in!

In a bucket, mix a gallon of cool water with four tablespoons of lemon juice. Lemons cut right through any grime that might be stuck to those panes. (A mixture of vinegar and water will also work well.)

Use newspapers to clean the windows, it's a lot cheaper than paper towels and the ink is a polishing agent so they won't streak! (Just make sure that you wear gloves so the ink doesn't end up on your hands).

If you have a smudge problem and you can't figure out which side of the glass it's on, wipe the inside pane horizontally.. and the outside vertically. This way it will be easy to tell what side the smudge is on.

For stubborn spots on your windows, try a little oven cleaner. Spray it on, let it sit a few minutes and wipe away the grime.
